We want to make The Festival of Sound welcoming and accessible to everyone! Rest assured, we will do everything we can to assist people who are concerned about the accessibility of the venue and who are facing barriers to attend.

Teviot Row House hosts the Student Union for The University of Edinburgh. As such, the venue is fully compliant with the Equality Act 2010. The festival is located on the 1st and 3rd floors of Teviot Row House in the New Amphion, The Study, The Debating Hall and the Loft Bar, and these are all fully accessible by elevator. So you can possibly expect some delay

  • Details of venue access and toilet access can be found here, so you can plan your attendance in advance and make sure your visit goes as smoothly as possible.

  • We will have volunteers on hand that can assist you.

  • We will provide a seating area specifically for people in wheelchairs and carers so you can attend talk in The Debating Hall and The Study.

  • We will provide free tickets for carers and personal assistants. To request these please contact the (Festival Producer)

If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to contact and we will do all we can to put your mind at ease!

Through the kind support of Skoog Music, we have managed to secure sponsorship to allow a limited number of people with accessibility concerns to attend the festival. This applies to people with disabilities and those in disadvantaged circumstances e.g. low income or unemployed. Skoog will be doing a talk about the importance of making audio technology more accessible during the North AudioTEK forum, and will also be exhibiting their product which makes music production possible for anyone!

To apply for a free ticket as part of the Skoog Accessibility Sponsorship, please fill out the form below and briefly explain your circumstances and why you would love to attend.
