We firmly believe that everyone should have the same choices and access to opportunities. Only 5% of the global Audio industry are non-male. We want to encourage more non-males to get into audio, which is why we are proactively supporting the #AudioEquityPledge, details of which can be found here.

Actions we are taking include:

  • Employing a diverse team - in 2018, more than 50% of our core team is made up of females

  • Creating an inclusive, encouraging and educational environment that is welcoming for all

  • Helping change perspectives amongst the wider audio community

  • Working with female collectives who are already helping girls and women in sound - Yorkshire Sound Women Network, Sound Girls, That’s Sound, The Malta Sound Women Network

  • Understanding and addressing unconscious bias

  • Recognising women and marginalised individuals for their skill and talent, not their gender, race or personal choices

  • Challenging the media representation of non-males in sound through the content we create

  • Listening to experiences of marginalised groups when they provide examples of what marginalising behaviours look and sound like
